Newborn

How the Newborn Photos are taken?
Our work dynamic is more less like this: When the family arrives at the studio and the baby is sleeping, we start to shoot photos right away! Meanwhile the mother is being make up. In the first part of the photo session we start by taking photos of the baby alone in those fluffy positions applying careful positioning techniques and using ours accessories. In the second we take photos of the baby with the parents and brothers (if there is any) in the classic newborn style. Those are the photos where the baby is positioned on the parents' hands and arms. The photos are taken with a lot of affection and patience, always respecting the baby's limits and timing.

When to book the Newborn Session?
The ideal scenario is to book it at least 1 month before the estimated date for the baby to born. Thus, we can reserve time and the parents can get ready.
When the Newborn Photos should be taken?
In the first week after birth, preferably between the 5th and the 15th days because this is a moment when the baby does not feel cramps yet and s/he has the most smooth, deep and calm sleep.

Who can participate of the photoshoot?
The main focus of the photo session is the baby. Although the parents and the siblings can also participate.
How long does the Newborn Session take?
In average it takes between 3 to 4 hours. In these kind of session it is necessary that the baby is deeply sleeping so s/he can be comfortable on the positions. That is why the session duration depends on the baby, the stops to nurse, diaper changes, sleeping time, and so on.

IMPORTANT:
Do not book any other important appointment in the same day as the photo session. It may take a while and it is necessary that everyone involved are calm and relaxed.
Please do not bring a lot of people for the photo session, this is important for our work to flow well. Although the presence of the parents and siblings are encouraged.
